VINELAND ROTARY PEDALS NEW LIFE INTO USED BICYCLES
Bicycle drive supports “Pedals for Progress”

August 25, 2009, Vineland, NJ –
If yours is like most households with growing children and teens, there’s probably at least one old bicycle sitting unused in your basement or garage. If so, now is the time to dust it off and donate it as part of the Rotary Club of Vineland’s Pedals for Progress bicycle drive scheduled for Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at 2260 East Sherman Avenue in Vineland.

A non-profit corporation devoted to global economic development, Pedals for Progress collects used bicycles for shipment to third-world countries. Once there, the bicycles are used by individuals and entire families for much-needed transportation. Portable sewing machines, (including treadle sewing machines) are also needed.

For more information or to arrange pick up, please call Vineland Rotarian, Henry Hansen at (856) 696-0643, prior to October 3.
